This is a remake of a game known from the Apple ][ series of computers back in the 80s. The intro text at the beginning of the game reads as follow:

"Mystery House takes place in an old house with many rooms. As you enter the house, seven other persons will be in the living room. Eventually they are dispersed throughout the house and you start finding them - dead! 
You must find the killer before he (she?) ends up killing you."

Note:
If you want to continue older saved games, run an older version of this game first and export all desired saved games to your hard disk drive.

Note for experienced users:

1. Open your Library folder and navigate to
   "Application Support/com.classics-for-x.MysteryHouse"
2. Move the "Saved Games" folder content to
   "Application Support/io.itch.khnr.mystery-house/Saved Games"
